iTabletop v3.0 Token Enhancements (Deployed)

iTabletop V3.0 will include the following Token Enhancements:
  • Token Framework now opens on right-click, plus a new visual treatment to the framework. The token accepts hot-keys only when framework is open, otherwise they go to the main UI. [Done]

  • Selected tokens now have a white dashed outline rather than open menu framework. Child tokens (owned by a parent) have green dashed outline. Token selection and menu framework are now decoupled (however a token with an open menu framework is considered selected.)  [Done]

  • You can change the Token Name by clicking the name in the opened token framework, changing it, and pressing Enter or closing the framework. Changes flow to all players. If the token is an instance of a templated token, it just changes it for the name of the one instance. If it is a named token, it changes everywhere. [Done]

  • Expanded support for performing actions on multiple selected tokens. [Done for Clone and Move]

  • NEW In the Advanced Features menu:

    • [M]ove or Clone Selected Tokens feature that moves or clones all selected token instances to any room/map and any play-surface level [Done]

    • [P]arent Selected Tokens [Done]

    • [O]rphan Selected Child Tokens [Done]

    • [G]ather Child Tokens into This Token - this instantly gathers the token's children and they disappear for everybody. Picture loading up a ship full of pirates, or pulling your dice or cards into their dice cup or card pack. [Done]

    • [E]xplode Child Tokens onto Surface - this unloads the children onto the play surface. Picture a tank that unloads its soldiers. A great way to surprise your players. Or picture rolling the dice from your cup, or removing your cards from your card pack. [Done]

  • NEW In the Host-Only Features menu:

    • [H]ide Token. When a GM hides a token, he/she can still see it at 50% transparency and can still interact with it. All other players see nothing and can't interact with it. [Done]

  • Tokens can own child tokens. Right on the play surface, you'll Explode out the children, edit them, Gather them back in, Parent other tokens to make them children, and Orphan child tokens to un-parent them. This supports multiple layers of nesting too. When tokens are nested, the source tokens keep track of the nesting, so when you add another instance of that token from the Place Tokens window, it adds the entire nested set. For example, you can have a Squadron token, which holds Soldier tokens. [Done]

  • Advanced Place Token windows. One Place Assigned Tokens for the GM to place tokens "assigned" to the game (this is the current one.) One that shows Place My Tokens to add any of your tokens to the game without having to pre-assign/stage them. One Place Purchased Tokens that holds all tokens you've purchased such as the Isometric 3D token packs, and allows for quick placement. [Done]

  • New token types to create and search: Named Object, Object Template, Dice Bag, Dice Cup, Die, Card Deck, Card [Done]

  • Adding hot keys that affect the token with the open frame. This speeds up things greatly. Keys such as: [Done]
    • S - Edit [S]ource Token
    • J - Character [J]ournal
    • U - [U]ser Control Permissions
    • M - [M]ove or Clone Selected Tokens
    • P - [P]arent Selected Tokens

    • B - Set [B]ase Color
    • C - Set Token [C]enter
    • F - Set Token [F]ront-Down Angle
    • L - [L]ock Movement toggle
    • H - [H]ide Token toggle
    • DEL - Delete token
    • R - [R]eset to Normal View
    • D - Reserved for Dice
    • 1-9 Clone [1-9] Instances to the token's current room and surface level
    • I - [I]M as this Character
    • And more to come!

  • Mousewheel now is passed through tokens, so you can zoom the map from anywhere (in IE) [Done]
