BTW the socket system development went well and I worked out a better way to sign in to the software that won't generate those pesky script errors and will be more reliable.
In terms of the UI look and feel, I'm including some links to Unity web player demos of a few UIs that I like. I would sure appreciate your vote (for any of them, as well as none of them, and what you'd rather see)...
To expedite the completion of Crit3D, I'm opting to use a premade UI, at least at first. Later I can tweak the images and nine-slices to be anything else we want. But I am choosing to use Unity's new built-in UI system. They released a completely revamped UI system in version 4.6.1 (and I'm using v5.2), and it looks very powerful. And the Unity web demos (links below) are "starter" UIs that other developers have created, that can be altered as needed. I think It will be a good head start.
So comment below on which ones, if any, you like the look of.
* For these demos, you may need to install the Unity web plugin. Also remember to right click and choose to go full screen to see all the content (ESC will take you out of full screen after.) Also remember that these are not the exact windows I'll be using, just the look/feel of the windows, controls, etc. To see slider and buttons and such, click the little gear symbol on each of the first 3 demos, located to the right of the RPG spell/item inventory at the bottom of the screen (after clicking login, and Play). Holler if you have any questions.
